Captain’s log: 9:07am. Letter written to someone I’ll see later tonight. A few minutes of guitar this morning but much more later. Tonight I will gather with a group of friends we call the Unusual Suspects. Singer/songwriters brought together ten years ago on the premise of “Bring a bottle of wine, a dish to pass and a Beatles song.” Many performances, new songs and good times over the years. Long time friends are the best.

Set up all the lights, etc. yesterday for today’s portrait. It’s gonna be a good one. Stay tuned!

11:50am. Today’s subject, Tim Redman arrives and we go get coffee and catch up. Tim was one of my best students ever at Portfolio Center. He was one of the few who embraced the old school techniques including the view camera. I predict a brilliant career for him.
